The name "Axemen" was earned through their reputation for carrying axes as tools for survival and as weapons of choice. They became known for their brutal efficiency in felling trees and defending their territory from the infected and rival factions. As baseball was rediscovered by survivors looking for a way to keep morale high, the Axemen naturally gravitated towards the sport. They began crafting bats from the same wood they used for survival, and the team became a symbol of strength, precision, and resilience. Each swing of the bat mirrors how they would chop down a tree or defend themselves from an enemy.
